This sector comprises companies that are engaged in the production and manufacturing of final goods. In general, these are products and services classified for personal use, specifically intended for the mass market. This major sector encompasses goods that are consumed rather than used in the production of other goods, and include both durable and nondurable consumables. Included in this sector are manufacturers of automobiles/auto parts, household durable good, textiles and apparel, as well as manufacturers’ food, beverages and tobacco products. Consumer goods are sold directly to consumers for use in the home or school or for recreational or personal use. They can be categorised into three main types, they are: durable goods, nondurable goods, and services. Durable goods are consumer goods that have a long-life span (e.g. 3+ years) and are used over time. This include bicycles and refrigerators etc. Nondurable goods are consumed in less than three years and have short lifespans. They include goods food and drinks etc, Services include auto repairs and haircuts, dry cleaning etc. Consumer goods are finals good, or end product, because they are the ultimate output of a productive process that occurs over time. This section consist of list of textile and apparel companies, tobacco production, personal house hold products, finished food products, consumer electronics, beverages non alcoholic and distillers, automobile, toys and games and auto parts.
